Her platform: “To inspire women to be more productive, playful, and present in their daily lives—and help them find the joy that comes from authentic personal expression.”

Her home: Liberty Lake, Washington

Her family: Married to Geoff for 20 years. Mom to Clark (17), Chase (15), Trey (11), Taft (9), and Addie (4)

Her start in scrapbooking:
I was working as a D.O.T.S (now Close To My Heart) demonstrator when I took my very first scrapbooking class in Salt Lake City in 1994. Shortly afterwards, I met a Creative Memories consultant, Kris Parkin, who got me “scrapbooking” regularly.

Her big break: After meeting Don and Deanna Lambson (who helped found Creating Keepsakes magazine) at a convention in 1997, they asked me to make scrapbook pages for a Fiskars TV segment—my first paying gig!

Her proudest professional moment: Having the guts to leave Simple Scrapbooks magazine so I could start Big Picture Scrapbooking. That was incredibly hard, and I was scared.

Her favorite inspiration sources: my photo library (and my crazy family life); stores like Target, Pier One, and local favorites; books and podcasts on creativity, curiosity, happiness, and more.

Something unusual she carries in her purse: My color-swatch book from Pottery Barn. First of all, it’s cute and it makes me happy. And secondly, if I find something I want to buy for my home and it works with the swatches, it will look good at home!
