Her platform: “I believe in stress-free scrapbooking—never feeling guilt, worry, or a lack of confidence in our creativity. Crafting makes us happy, and it brings us together. It’s that simple.”

Her home: London, England

Her family: It’s just my husband, Ben (aka “The Boy”), and me.

Her big break: I was a Creating Keepsakes magazine Hall of Fame winner in 2001 (which is a little like saying “Hall of Fame 1885”!) and won a contract with another magazine that same year. I went from some random scrapbooker who lived in England to suddenly being very aware of how the industry worked. I learned a great deal, including how to keep my creativity on my terms.

What she’s most proud of: Years ago, when I jotted down the idea of online classes for scrapbookers, people told me it was a nice idea that would never take off. The fact that online material is so much a part of our industry today makes me so happy.

Her top inspiration sources: A walk in the park on a sunny day, without a doubt.  I'm also really lucky to live near amazing art galleries (like the Tate Modern) and fabulous places to people-watch (like Covent Garden) right here in London.

Her alter-ego: At age 12, I went through a phase of wearing funny hats and putting on accents. My family started calling me Penelope during these dramatic moods, and I thought that was fabulous.

Her must-read blogs: Once Wed, Cannelle et Vanille and ohcomely.co.uk
