Her platform: “Helping women experience the joy of learning new things. I love it when students learn things they thought were beyond their abilities.”

Her home: Atlanta, Georgia

Her family: Married to Kent. Mom to Chris, Tamara, and Matthew, who are all grown up and pursuing their careers and dreams.

Her must-read blogs: I follow three blogs religiously that help me with my business and one that reminds me to take a breath. They are: Smashing Magazine, Page Plane, Feedgrids, and Zen Habits.

Something unusual that’s in her purse: I save my favorite fortune cookie fortunes and keep them in my wallet.

What she wanted to be when she grew up: What didn’t I want to be? Artist, dancer, fashion designer, flight attendant.

The name she wishes she had: Camille, for a very short while. Now I like my name.

Her version of the annoying catchphrase, “_____ is the new ____”: Black is the new black.

A trend she’s deliberately avoiding: Watching American Idol!

Her proudest moment professionally: I’d have to say I’m most proud of my site and how quickly it’s grown. I took on a challenge to wear a variety of different hats to make the site a success, and I feel really good about where we are now and the potential for growth in the future.
