<< return to nominee pageHer platform: “I especially want to help others become independent scrapbookers who can tell their own stories in their own ways—and in their own styles.”
Her home: Mesa, Arizona
Her family: Married to Israel (“Izzy”). Mom to son Blake (12), daughter Trinity (10), and son Aiden (7)
Her start in the industry: I started hosting Paperclipping.com in 2006. Until then I had no experience with the industry whatsoever. I didn't go about the old route of getting published in magazines. I made a place for myself online and, apparently, others like being in that place with me because we've been able to make a business out of it.
Her big break: I never had a big break. It's been a gradual climb of sharing what I love and, by being authentic, meeting other scrapbookers' needs. I did eventually get a few pages published in magazines, but that was only after I had already been hosting Paperclipping for quite a while.
Her top sources for inspiration and creativity: 1) The story I'm sharing and the feelings or mood I associate with that story. 2) Exercise. It's my main key for feeling alive and energetic and having an active brain that wants to create. 3) Blogs. The way people share their own lives on their blogs spark story ideas for me to scrapbook.
An opinion she often keeps to herself: My stance on animal rights.
A trait she’s trying to overcome: Spaciness—including, but not limited to, forgetfulness.
