Halloween is right around the corner....seeing as how it is one of my most favorite holidays, I like to start enjoying it early on...just as September rolls in, as the leaves start turning, and as the breeze outside hints of fall. Today I've got a few Halloween gift ideas for you such as treats, decor, and simple greetings.
This first project is a bit of a different take on a candy bar wrap. I have a fetish for glassine bags and think they make everything look beautiful, so for this treat, I've simply packaged a candy bar inside a medium glassine bag.

The rest is just as simple...wrap a block of paper around the bag and then embellish. I used Papertrey Ink's Spooky Sweets stamp set for the pumpkin face. 7Gypsies tape works great as a border along the bottom edge, and then some scrunched seam binding from Memrie Mare's etsy shop adds a perfect finishing touch along the top edge of the bag.

A tea-stained tag from Mish Wooderson's etsy shop is just the right place for a hand stamped greeting from Papertrey Ink's Friendship Jar Fall Fillers stamp set.
This next project provides a sweet place for home baked goodies such as Pumpkin Pocket cookies.

I used a couple of small Frosted Bags from Papertrey Ink and embellished them with vintage images from Crafty Secrets Double-Sided Halloween Greetings Creative Scraps.

Once again a simple tag stamped using Papertrey Ink's Spooky Sweets stamp set adds a perfect place for the greeting and is attached using a miniature clothespin from Mish Wooderson's etsy shop.

If you find yourself running a bit short on time, this next project is made just for you...

All you need is some small cellophane bags, some colorful Halloween candy, a die cut, tag, or small doily, and stamps! I Glimmer Misted a few Martha Stewart doilies to age them a bit and then stamped them with Crafty Secrets Costume Cuties stamp set.

They are then tied to the bag with more scrunched seam binding, a vintage button and Baker's Twine from Papertrey Ink.
Keep your eyes open for some preprinted Halloween take-out boxes. I found these for .39 at my craft store and created a quick label for the front by using Papertrey Ink's Spooky Sweets II stamp set.

Ribbon in a couple of different colors tied in a double bow around the package finish your package off in a festive way.

A spooky card set is a great way to mix things up for Halloween.

A fun way to present your card set is by creating a matching pocket.

This project was created for Ally Scraps. A complete supply list and instructions can be found on the Ally Scraps blog.
Lastly...a little home decor for Halloween.

This Halloween cottage was created from a paper mache house found at Create for Less. It is dressed up in Graphic 45 Halloween in Wonderland papers, Maya Road goodies, glitter, buttons, vintage images, and other assorted toppings.

This project was also created for Ally Scraps. and all of the supplies used along with instructions can be found on the Ally Scraps blog.
Time to get your paper, scissors, and glitter out and enjoy a bit of Halloween before it's gone. I'm so happy to have had the chance to blog with you today. Happy Fall!
