Are you looking to spruce up your home for the holidays? I’m going to show you an easy way to add some interest to your space using Vinyl Wall Art.
We will be using the following supplies for this project; a 20” x 16” blank canvas, a grey colored acrylic paint, white acrylic paint a wide paint brush, a Q-tip, and two of the Medium sized Forest Vinyl Wall Decals available at VinylWallArt.com.
First, I primed my canvas. You can use any primer. I prefer to use a spray-on gesso primer.
Once the primer has dried (check the directions on your specific primer for drying times), then it’s time to add some color.
On my canvas, I used a lot of Grey paint. I added a little white paint into the Grey to add some texture. If you want to use a blue or red paint in place of the Grey, those colors would also work great with this print.
While the paint on your canvas is drying, prep your vinyl using the instructions found here
Decide where you’d like to place your vinyl to fit best on your canvas. Cut the vinyl apart to customize your layout. Applying vinyl to canvas is a little harder than applying it to a wall, so be sure to take your time and apply it slowly, in order to avoid ripping the vinyl.

I cut the branch off of the center tree, and placed it lower on the tree (see pictures above.)
Lastly, I used my Q-tip to add white specks of paint to make a beautiful snowy scene.
This is such an easy way to add a pretty winter print to your holiday decor. Feel free to change this project up a bit by using different colors or sizes to fit your space. Enjoy!
