We're Feeling Scrappy!

Everyone can always use a new friend, right? Well, today we're proud to introduce you to one of our new friends (and one of our favorite sponsors), Feeling Scrappy!

  • If you've ever wished you lived near a scrapbook store that offered cool classes...
  • If you've ever wanted a community of fun and friendly scrapbookers to exchange ideas and support with...
  • If you've ever said, "Wow, I wish I could take a scrapbooking class but I don't have the time..."

...Then Feeling Scrappy is for you!

Feeling Scrappy provides fun on-line classes for every level of scrapper. The classes are hosted on-line via a private message board, and you "attend" class when it's convenient for you -- no more missing class because the baby is sick or you're too tired to drive downtown. It's perfect for stay-at-home moms, working ladies, and those who just don't like to change out of their jammies!

There's plenty of opportunity to mix and mingle with your classmates. We hear the private classrooms are hopping with questions, answers, inspiration, and intermingling with instructors and fellow students.

Feeling Scrappy's most popular class, Sketchapalooza 5, is kicking off later this month and runs 10/26-11/23. The class sounds like a blast! With tons of brand-new original sketches (AND a digital template for each!), you'll have the chance to do some serious scrapping, win some fab prizes, and make a dent in your photo backlog. This class is perfect for new and experienced scrapbookers alike, and is tailored to paper and digi scrappers (how cool is that?).

Fun people, scrapbooking, prizes, and surprises? This sounds like Ella's kind of thing... and we're thrilled to be able to offer you the chance to take part! Feeling Scrappy has generously donated TWO seats in the upcoming Sketchapalooza. All you have to do is leave us a comment here, telling us how you feel about sketches. Love 'em? Can't scrap without 'em? Never tried them before but willing to give it a go? Do tell!

We'll pick a winner on Friday, 10/9, at noon Eastern. Get your comments in and get ready for Sketchapalooza!

P.S. Not the lucky type? You can sign up for Sketchapalooza, and you can get a special Ella reader discount that was sent out in Tuesday's newsletter. If you're not getting our newsletter, now's a great time to sign up

While I can live without sketches, they definitely help me expand my "layout look" because without them, I think my layouts all end up with the same look. I'm pretty weak in the design process - I can handle telling the story, but the layout usually still looks like the same ol' thing! april

Up untill the last year I never thought much of sketches. In the past year however I've discovered that they can be great for "scrappers block" or simply giving me the drive to finally get some pictures scraped!

I really enjoy sketches to provide a kick-start when I need it. It did take me a while to figure out how to use them - my layouts NEVER looked like the sketch. LOVE the Feeling Scrappy classes and the community is very supportive, inspiring and fun :)

sounds fun! i always like to start with a sketch.
I love sketchs. I think too much to scrap without them Lynn Marion
I like sketches because I often need a jump start. But I really, really like the digital ones cause my pictures fit without turning or cropping. Love that.
I'm happy using other peoples sketches if they catch my eye but its also fun to create my own ready to be used when the scrapping bug hits me Px
I love sketches but I usually end up doing my own thing because I either 1) can't remember where I saw 'x' sketch 2) can't make it work for the photos I want to use or 3)get hung up on the design and trying to be creative and never finish the layout. I'm definitely willing to keep trying them though! LOL! Thanks for the chance!

Sketches rock! I struggle digitally sans template. be well.
I adore sketches and use them all the time. Using them allows me to make the most of what little time I have to scrap.
I couldn't imagine scrapping without sketches. They make it so that I can whip up a page in an hour, instead of six. Almost all of my layout start from a sketch. I also love the flexibility of switching things up to work with what I've got. I use sketches as a guide, rather than an exact duplicate (although sometimes I do that too!)

I've never really used sketches, though I have used templates. I would love to give it a try!
LOVE sketches!! I have never made my own sketches though! That would be fun!!
I absolutely LOVE sketches & love using digital templates! What a fun class!
I find sketches a great jumping off point--however, I can never seem to "make them mine" or see the twists and turns one can do. I think that's how my brain works-pretty concrete, this goes here and that goes there. Maybe that's why it takes me forever and a day to complete a layout! I need to learn how to "see the potential" of a sketch--will their class teach me? I'm brave and ready to experiment.

I cannot live without sketches (whether it be one from someone else, or one I've created). They make creating for me so much easier.

I love sketches! I rely on them alot when I feel like scrapping but too tired to come up with an original design.
Hey there Lain and Angie! I love sketches and use them constantly for my layouts. When I get in a "rut" I pull out a sketch to get the "MOJO" flowing again! Also, I am a Feeling Scrappy Sketchapalooza Girl! I have only missed the first Sketchapalooza class since they started doing the classes! Cyn Warner Robins, GA
I've taken Feeling Scrappy classes before and I would love to win another!!!
I love sketches. They sometimes give me the creative boost I need.
I LOVE sketches, sounds like a wonderful new class.
I adore the Sketchapalooza classes! I've taken a couple and would love to win this! I am a sketch addict. Always looking for new ideas and inspiration. I love the challenge of making a sketch work for me. Fingers crossed!
I love sketches, especially those from Sketchapalooza. You will not be sorry if you choose to check out this amazing class!! Sketches really help to get me going on a layout.

I love sketches!! I've taken all of the Sketchapalooza classes and love the sketches! It's so easy to get pages done using the sketches.
I adore sketches. I have several books and binders full of them.
I'm getting used to sketches, though I must admit to really liking templates.
I love sketches and I love Feeling Scrappy! :) I find sketches move me along faster and actually allow me to be more creative because it takes the pressure of creating the layout off of me. I can put all my thought an energy into finding matching papers and embellishments and making the sketch my own. I almost never scrap without sketches these days! :) ~~Carrie
Sketchapoolza is a great class! I took a couple of these classes. Not only did I get some great sketches I also 'caught' up on layouts!! Can't wait to win a spot in the next class :)
