Ella + Scrapbooking from the Inside Out kit club

Yes it is true Ella is blog swapping with kit club, Scrapbooking from the Inside Out. All the projects below are from the talented ladies of SFIO. Ella challenged them to be inspired by Lain and Stacy's 20 Simple Secrets of Happy Scrapbookers eBook and they inspired our Ella friends with their May kit, Anticipation. After you see what their design team came up with below, stop by their blog to see what our Ella friends created.

From Diana Kennedy

My layout was based on {discovery no. 9} it's not what happened, it's how you think about it.

"The amount of happiness present in your life is perspective. You can have it all and not be happy; or live with less and be absolutely content with your life.  It all comes down to the choices and one’s attitude when faced with life’s challenges, its ups and downs. When I thought about what happiness meant to me, I immediately thought of simple, straightforward things that I do or recall when feeling down or stuck. I try not to take life so seriously, and look at the humor and subtle reminders that life and happiness is indeed a gift."

Next up is Rita Barakat

She was inspired by a prompt/layout that recommends we enjoy the ordinary.

Now Nancy Doren

I used the following from the eBook, Happy Scrapbookers: "Discovery #12: Do Things That You're Good At."

"The takeaway: It’s hard enough for scrapbookers to put ourselves on our pages, and it’s even tougher for us to toot our own horns! But it’s important for us to document our skills and abilities, not only to prove to ourselves (and our kids!) that we have unique talents, but also to remind ourselves to make more time to enjoy them."

I loved the idea of scrapbooking my abilities, so I decided to document my new-found talent: saying "no"!  I'm getting better at saying "no" to things I'm not truly interested in, and I love that this page will remind me to keep doing so!

What interesting and diverse pages. You must see the layouts from Ella friends.

I really like that the kits have a nice variety of items that blend well, but aren't tied to a particular Holiday or event. This makes it easy to use the kit with any type of story you want to tell.

I love kits because it gives you a little taste of all the great products out there. I used to buy paper packs and found I didn't love all of the paper that was in it. Also, I like using different manufactures together but I'm not quite talented enough to pick out items that go together. Kits solve that problem for me : )

I love kit clubs, they give you such a selection of coordinated papers & embellishments. And the design team is so much more in tune with what is out there... I always get stuff I would never have bought by myself!

1) I love kits to just grab and go to a crop..everything coordinated right there in one baggie. 2) Also, I sometimes get product that is "not my style"...which is great when I need something like that (I tend to always buy "BOY" lines)...so I needed to make a pink card for a friend..right to my kits!!! 3) I also like that you get a variety in some kits...like 2-3 pieces from diff mfgr's and so I get to "play" with lots of diff stuff and decide if I want to go out and purchase the "whole" line...
A very fun idea for a blog swap. The perfect melding of your two sites. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
I like that the designing guesswork is done for you with a kit.
I like that kits that are well put together coordinate, so I do not have to think about it. I love when someone talented takes a bit from this and something from another line and puts it all together. Then you just add your pics and memories.
I like using kits, because everything is right at your fingertips and everything matches. You don't have to dig in your stash and hope to have that perfect color green to match the tag you want to use. It is all coordinated for you. Love that. Thanks for a chance to win.
I like kits because they have everything you need "right there". Sometimes I can spend what seems like forever trying to pick out coordinating papers and embellies from my stash, only to find I have lost my creative excitement that I sat down with :( With kits I can just sit and create, adding my own things if I want. They make my scrap time a happier time! Thanks for the chance to win some happiness! :)
Kits take a lot of the prep work out of my scrapping time. To have a kit that's put together for me, with coordinating papers and accents just jumpstarts any project. This is key, because I have so little scrap time to start with! Thanks for the chance to win- this kit and all the projects from it look wonderful!
I love seeing all the bits and pieces others come up with in a kit. There are often little suprises which make you go aha!
I love that everything in a kit is coordinated; all the embellishments are there and it makes putting a page together that much faster. Vive le kits!
The thing that I LOVE about kits is that all the elements match and coordinate so it takes all the guess work of out of color matching!!

I love kits because they give me a lot of materials to work with and sometimes even materials that I would have never thought to combine! I love how they enable and challenge me in my creativity!
I've never really tried a kit because of the expense of shipping to Canada, but if I did it probably stretch me in choices instead of the same usual things that I would be attracted to.
I love the colors and papers from this kit they are beautiful! I would love to win something...anything! sbwilson64@yahoo.com
With kits someone with a good sense of design has done all the work for me. All of the contents work well with each other. Frequently it forces me to think outside my box and that's a good thing!
I love kits because it makes it so easy to get some scrapbooking completed fast! All you need is to add your pictures, adhesive and start creating!
Kits are fabulous because someone else way more creative and imaginative than me has done the research to find just what I need only I didn't know it existed. I just love your style!
These kits are absolutely wonderful. You get amazing coordinating pieces that are fresh and up to date with new products from great companies and you can create a ton of supre cute layouts!
I love the colors in this kit. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
I love kits that have many fun elements that I might not normally purchase or even think to purchase! This kit is GORGEOUS!
I love the colors in this kit. Kits are a great option as you usually get a lot of goodies & embellishments to create many projects. I even get challenged to use products I might not necessarily buy but am a fan of after. My favorite kits contain unique embellishments and a custom stamp
I love these layouts. Kits are awesome because everything is coordinated and you can make tons of layouts. I'd love to win!
this kit is fantastic! Kits are great because as mentioned everything coordinates so you can't go wrong, also this is great when you are going to crop (I go to/host 2 a month so this helps to streamline the packing somewhat), and thirdly often there are things that are included in kits that I normally may not have purchased separately but now have an excuse to try. Especially lines of paper that are challenging to me, I love when they come in kits cuz they usually come with familiar things and thus makes it a bit easier to use if that makes sense...
I love kits because of the coordinating paper. If it comes in a kit, and all of the matching has been done for me, I can put together any of the papers in the kit with no problem. Not so with my other patterned paper!
I love this kit it has the most fun papers for fussy cutting and also fun new colors that go together. Also I just love that they have done all the hard part for you by assembling all of the papers and embellishments that coordinate so well with each other.
I love that they are colour co-ordinated so it saves lots of time.

i love that the hardest choices are made for you...what paper goes with this. do these flowers go and what about ribbon, die cuts, alphas. it takes me FOREVER to choose these thing so a kit atleast narrows down my choices to a manageable level and i am confident everything will match! phew! long live kits!!
It can be overwhelming to go to a scrapbook store or browse online and see endless choices of product-- I love how you combine things from different manufacturers that coordinate without being too "matchy-matchy"! Thanks for the giveaway and for the inspriation!
